Summerhill is a rather scenic farming village of moderate size located in hill country belonging to House al'Mordran. It is a small fief that's currently ran by Sir Casimir al'Mordran

Culture

People: The people of Summerhill are mostly farmers and merchants who deal in transporting and growing wheat, grain, and other foods. They are a hard working loyal people who don't complain too much unless something goes horribly wrong with their lands. They are on fairly good terms with the Knight running their village and Sir Casimir has no trouble going down to the village and speaking with the locals on occasion.

Faith: Those living in Summerhill are followers of the One Faith and fairly devout all things considered. Harvest time is an important time and after its completion there is normally a large service held in the village chapel to thank and praise the One.

Lands and Holdings

Summerhill: The town of Summerhill is situated in a hill covered part of country that is good for raising livestock and wheat. The town is moderately sized with a good deal of homes for its residents and also boasts a blacksmith, tavern, several shops, and a brewery where and popular local drink called Summer Ale is made. The village is placed between the hills with watch towers placed on the hills surrounding it and the hill in the center of the village plays host to a small but well fortified keep.

Summerhill Keep: The keep in the center of Summerhill is made of a golden hued stone. Its walls are sturdy and well maintained and the inner courtyard has a large stable for the horses that belong to the light cavalry Sir Casimir commands. There is also a barracks to house the men in the courtyard as well. Inside the Keep is nicely decorated and very fancy for a knight. The keep has quite a few rooms for various functions and even has a library and a small enclosed garden.

Vassals

Summerhill is currently the property of Sir Casimir al'Mordran and is a vassal to the al'Mordran House.

Military

Summerhill is protected by a quarter of the Lightening Brigade as well as a good amount of levy archers and infantry when the need arises. Watch towers are placed through the fief to give warning should an attack occur.

Economy

Summerhill's economy is currently stable and while not over producing is still doing well. There is enough wheat to eat and a little to sell. Sir Casimir is working on ways to grow the villages trade options and encouraged the making of the now locally popular Summer Ale which he plans on exporting eventually. Other than wheat and Summer Ale there are also several people in the village who raise livestock and there is a horse breeder who supplies horses for the Lightening Brigade on site as well.
