Word begins to trickle down from nobles, to merchants, to the commonfolk. The Duke Jordan al'Morena has returned to the Duchy and has established himself at d'Picot, with the Baron d'Picot's blessing. As a result, the Barony, now serving as the temporary Ducal seat, has seen a marked uptick in trade and the need for goods and services of all sorts to support the strengthening of the Duchy against the forces of Bitruland, and the development of lands and resources that had long laid untapped. Trade routes are being adjusted as more and more merchants, initially robbed of their trade with Alasce, now find that they are once again in high demand. Skilled craftsmen, miners, and other skilled labourers, even peasants, are being encouraged to seek out and inquire about opportunities to increase their fortunes in the Duke's service.
