Pippa is the first born to Marshall and Zandra Aseno. She would be joined in later years by a sister and a brother, the trio keeping her parents quite busy. From an early age, Pippa was groomed to take over as heir to her father's lands. She made the rounds with him to learn how to care for the warhorses that they bred and raised for their soldiers, along with their main source of economy - sheep and wool.
While her father oversaw the raising and breeding of the sheep, it was from her mother that she learned what to do with the wool that was cut from them. From carding it to finally spinning and weaving, Pippa learned what it took to create fine Aseno wool fabric.
As her father would eventually go to war, leading his men in battles, Pippa remained at home, at first following their Steward and semi-overseeing his work, to later, when older, doing it herself. She kept careful track of their breeding stock, and every pound of wool and bolt of fabric.
In 1870 after her father returned home due to an injury that left him recovering from having his right foot at the knee taken off due to infection, they would soon lose Zandra. At first, they thought she had some sort of illness, only to learn that she was pregnant. It was not an easy pregnancy for her like her three prior. Pippa stayed with her mother, trying to help the healers who were called in. When she finally went into labor to deliver another son to her husband, she would soon pass within the week. A nanny took care of the infant, her brother likely looks to her much as his mother these days.
The days are reaching the point where Marshall is giving more and more over to Pippa to handle. He is getting older, and while Pippa doesn't want to admit it, a tad frail.
