Your Grace,

I do greatly apologise for not stopping in at Wayston, but time was of the essence. By the time you receive this note, which ought to be delivered to you as I pass through your lands, I will be across the border into the Imperial Colonies. I am conducting a reconnaissance of the area ahead of the operations which you and Baron Duval shall commence in the months to come, and to ensure that our supply situation is well in hand.

I am, however, writing you with regards to our recent Great Council meeting. With the course of action chosen, that being of using ships, we must now discuss how we are to proceed with this, and proceed we must. Strike while the iron is hot, as they say.

I do also wish to feel what the other Lords of the realms think of matters sorcerous. This is a wound which festers, and one we cannot afford to ignore. Like the question of the pagans in our lands once brought, leaving things unspoken merely maintains questions in the air of what her Majesty's policy towards a group of outsiders is. In this case, we have fought enemies using magic on multiple fronts over several years, but have not formulated a response. This must be rectified, and I suggest that we discuss such as soon as possible.

With many of the realm's commanders in the north, I propose that your home at Murias be our venue for discussion.

Sincerely,
Viscount Repton

Your Excellency:

Worry not that you were unable to stop on your way through Wayston. Your service to me and to the people of Galenthia is immeasurable and who am I to get in the way of such service. There is much to be done and everyone must do their part to insure our success in the upcoming retaliation.

With that said, I agree that a meeting must be held on the two issues you have mentioned in your letter. There is no reason to delay the campaign on the Great Salt, as the situation is only going to remain stagnant or worsen.

The matter of sorcery that had once been nothing but a mere spark, has now grown into a small flame and cannot be ignored. Whispers behind closed doors only assist in fueling such flames and a discussion must be had to avoid a full-blown conflagration.
I openly invite yourself as well as the Lords of Galenthia to Bellmoore to discuss both of these matters. I shall send word out immediately. May you walk in the light of The One.

Yours in Grace
