Shirlyn leaves Mattias to his packing and preparing to descend upon a clerk, getting him to draw up the proper paperwork so Shirlyn can get to task with settling her affairs.

She’s got considerable wealth in this bank alone, two separate accounts. One that belongs to a Mistress Belledonna Fisher, more than slightly modest but it holds the funds and deeds to her business in Tenebrae. To that end, Shirlyn leaves in the event of her death that business to the current stewards of the business, Right and Left, the twins Shirlyn will have to leave behind.

To Lefford Delmar and Richter Delmar,

I, Belledonna Fisher, leave all my properties and finances in their most expert care.

Dearest friends, you have taken care of me and protected me and mine for many years. I entrust to you two, in the event of my death, this business you both helped me build and from what I can tell, greatly enjoyed. Take care of my hearts, especially my son, buy him a present for me every year on the day of his birth. Train him to be a good man, if you will, and make sure he learns to hide well and strike true. Make sure my husband keeps his head, as he often loses it.”

Mistress Belledonna Fisher

Shirlyn sits back from the small desk she procured from herself in the corner and sighs heavily, releasing a breath before diving into her own fortunes.

To Baron Emrys Tenebrae and my son Tomas Tenebrae,

In the event of my death, I, Baroness Shirlyn Tenebrae, leave unto them my exchange houses in Aequor, Alezzo, Rikton, Galenthia and Four Corners. All the wealth I own should go to the keeping of Tenebrae and the raising of my son, Tomas.

Baroness Shirlyn Tenebrae

With the business of her businesses taken care of, copies of said words signed by herself and a notary there at the banking house of Thynne are given to her. Shirlyn stuffs those pieces of paperwork in her armored breastplate and lifts a few pieces of parchment to write a few more letters to send off. one in a few days time, another to be hand delivered at the time of her death.

This first missive to Myrana d’Armaz will not be sent for a few days time. Enough for whatever that was going to happen had already.

Lady Myrana d’Armaz,

I have found him, if I do not return know that he is more powerful and more in tune with what is going on than any of us could ever imagine. He named you, exclusively, as one who knows of him as well. Do say a prayer or two for me, my lady, for I may not ever return. One speed to you. Don’t come to find me, I’ll find you if I can.

~Shirlyn

The last missive is written carefully and slowly over a considerable amount of time, all words perfect chosen and placed and appropriately hmm’d over.

Emrys

It’s time now, that time we both feared and I anticipated. I don’t know what will become of me but only that whatever does, is going to be an ending of some sort. Mattias and I found the Powerful Man, or rather he found us. He requested us for tea and with that, I can do nothing but comply, you know this as well as I. I have no choice, not if I wish to keep both you and Tomas safe. And I would do everything within my power to do so.

If you are receiving this from Left and Right, that means I never returned. I’m giving them clear instruction to give me a week to return to Four Corners before seeking you out and handing you the box. Know I do this willingly, though apprehensively because no one sane leaves a good life behind without some grief. Maybe I won’t die, maybe you’ll never see this message and I can laugh as I toss it to a fire to be burned.

Then again, maybe not. And if not, I’m leaving you everything with my name. All appropriate paperwork has been filed at The Banking House of Thynne. Teach Tomas so that he may take over my place in the guild one day, make me and our good friend Mattias proud. This is all I have time for, I’m afraid. I must go now.

Stay safe, dear heart, and kiss Tomas daily for me,

~Shirlyn

The missive is placed in a box that only she and Emrys hold a key for. It's iron and the lock was made by the best lock smith. She tells Left and right to make sure to give her and Mattias a week to return before taking the box to Emrys, but until then they are to remain there. Waiting.
