The sail to Ryalta hadn't been without incident, but what storms the sea had seen fit to cast into the path of Ocean Seeker hadn't tasked her crew too badly, and by the time they arrived at the archipelago the waters had settled into a warm, oppressing calm. Where once there had been too much wind, now there was too littel, and the last hundred miles or so took far longer than they had any right to, leaving Ivo to wish furvently that he'd been cursed with powers over the wind rahter than the waves. A becalmed ship, especially one in hit climates, leads to a fractious crew. Tempers fray, friends falls out, and no one sleeps properly. Eventually though, a brieeze caught the sails, and the enterance to the harbour at Mish hove into view.
There was no sign of their quarry within the harbour, nor could word of his location be bribed from any of the dockside businessmen, but the morale boost of simply having reached the islands was palpable. The crew enjoyed themselves ashore, while the officers plotted their next moves. Brandy came next, as it was closest but there was still no sign. As before, messages were left with the taverns and brothals;
Tell Deverot there's a message for him from home. We need to meet.
Not a complex one, but hopefully enough to draw Tavi out from his bolthole long enough for Adriono's message to be passed on.
Rum next, and while the stop over should make the trip a profitable one should he ever discharge his duty and make it back to civilised shores it's with a growing sense of frustration that the Captain ordered the ship to sea once more, this time for Ryalta itself. Stood on the sterncastle as the sun set behind them he forced himself to consider if they'd need to make it official, request an audience with Red Mane herself, Queen of the Pirates. By the One he hoped not.
