Ludovic  Mattias

Lady Lisbeth d'Korbina leaves the luxurious town house within Four Corners to attend a meeting at the bank. Its only once she is inside the cloistered interior that she passes a sealed letter along with the explicit instructions that it be handed into Mattias' hands.

The letter itself is just a simple vellum written in a scrawling, but strong, hand.

Councillor Mattias.

I want to ask your advice. In confidence and private. I cant offer much in return.

Instead of a signature there is a doodle-like image of a bullshead flanked with lightning bolts.

In confidence I reply, and in confidence we shall meet. There's a delightful kaffe seller tucked away down an alley just off the market square, brews some of the best Partharian kaffe you can find. Say what you will about the Partharians, their kaffe is truly a wonder of this world. I believe that this time of year, he should also have had a shipment of Partharian spice that gives the pastries his wife cooks a truly authentic taste. Though there's nothing finer than eating such fare under the stars and surrounded by the dust of a Partharian desert, I perhaps digress. I'll meet you there, let me know when you are able to attend by tying a yellow ribbon about the brick-a-brack stall's right-most support, the stall directly opposite my Banking House. A lovely lady on that stall, most discreet. I suppose we could set a time, but this feels decidedly more surreptitious and clandestine does it not? Excellent! I'd suggest a white ribbon of course, but since you aren't Aequorian any more and not prone to disastrous surrenders or defeats, we'll go with yellow.
