An identical letter is sent to all the noble houses in Aequor. None of the letters bear any identifying seal but instead bear a stylized M on the envelope. When opened, it’ll read as follows:

People of Aeqour,

It has become painfully obvious that the King no longer seeks to protect his people and has, instead, become a puppet of the Church, the people who seek to put your loved ones and dear friends to death for something beyond their control. Already, too much blood has been spilled by them and for what? To punish them for the evils of heresy? To put them to death for crimes and evils they have not committed? Why should we, the people, stand for such wanton acts of murder? No amount of religious reasoning makes it right. No amount of piousness makes it just, and I, for one, will no longer stand for it.

House al’Mordran no longer exists. What now stands in its place is the Kingdom of Eosphora, a fully autonomous kingdom where people can live without having to fear for their life or for that of those they care for. Anyone who has the mark of magic upon them will not have to hide so that their life might be saved. People will be allowed to worship as they wish. The only acts of evil that shall be punished will be those acts that truly are. No innocents shall perish.

Anyone who wishes to join under my banner will be welcomed with open arms and provided for accordingly. Nobles who wish to merge their lands with those of the kingdom will be allowed to keep their titles. However, if anyone shall seek to rise up against us, know that you will be greeted at the border of Eosphora by an army that is as strong in numbers as it is loyal to me.

If anyone wishes to voice their concerns or negotiate, I am more than willing to meet or, if a meeting is not possible, correspond via message.

Queen Jasmina Mordran, queen of the Kingdom of Eosphora

A separate letter is sent to King al’Ramar:

King al’Ramar,

House al’Mordran is no longer under your rule and, as a matter of fact, no longer exists. The Kingdom of Eosphora instead stands upon the lands the duchy once made its home. Also, eight of the nine vassals who swore fidelity under the al’Mordran banner has continued to pledge themselves to me. This action, drastic as it is, has been taken in response to your willingness to put yourself under the thumb of the Church and allow for the blood of innocents to be shed as a result. I'll will no longer allow myself or my people to be ruled by a mad man who no longer holds the sanctity of life to be important.

I do not foresee this news not resulting in violence so I must warn you. My borders are in the process of being heavily fortified. Any act of aggression will be responded to in kind, Your Majesty. I hope common sense will prevail and we can live as neighbors in peace. Do not let the blood of more innocents stain our lands and the families of those who might die be without them in their lives.

Your once-faithful servant,

Queen Jasmina Mordran, queen of the Kingdom of Eosphora
