The Saint Tiadora, great ship of the ocean, steered a full day to the west before ploughing south again in an effort to avoid much in the way of confrontation. Such caution by the young captain, along with a deck bristling with carroballista and the proud (and neutral) sigil of the new Kingdom of Rikton all played their part and Vemmorn avoided much in the way of company for three days.

Can a pair of longships take a Saint? Can a Saint take a pair of Longships? That question has lingered for a full day as a pair of longships track the Tiadora. Every so often one side or the other will shift to an aggressive heading, just to see what happens, but beyond these brief breaks the state of affairs continues for hour upon tense hour. But now the whitehall squadron has gained a third longship and the odd have tilted into their favor. There is still no guarantee they can take such a prize without losing one, two or even three longships but what in life has a guarantee?

Looking through the spyglass from his perch up in the timber network of the masts Vemmorn comes to a decision and signals are sent inviting the captains over for a polite cup of tea. Soon afterwards there are three white hallers on board and Vemmorn leads them off into the sanctuary of his stateroom to discuss the matter at hand. They dont really want to attack him. He doesnt really want to attack them. Lets deal! And deal they do.

When the meeting breaks up and the White Hall Captains return to their vessels they take with them a large portion of the Saint's supplies, particularly the more rum, water and foodstuffs and Vemmorn gains a promise that their 'escort' will be neutral to him. The Tiadora will have to dock at Four Corners to resupply but this, Vemmorn reassures himself, has to be cheaper than taking cannon fire.
