After the battle was won and things began to settle, Zayne set to the task of accounting for his men, both living and dead. Bodies that could be retrieved were found and given proper rites. Once Zayne knew who was lost he set about sending letters to their families and those they kept in touch with. He had for a long time made it a point to know at least the basics of every man who served under him, this was much harder now that he had hundreds of men but it didn't stop him from trying. Letter after letter was written and when the stack was finally done and defeated the D'Rana Lord and Knight still had one thing left to do.

The large figure slipped quietly into the room where a certain Blue Cavalier was resting. After a brief word with the healers he slipped away again leaving behind a small gift.

When Tavi awoke next he would find a bottle of extremely fine rum sitting next to his bedside along with a brief note written in a neat script.

Good job not dying. Consider this a thank you for your bravery, I'm still taking you to a tavern once you recover though!
