In her own Army Camp, a package is found by a sentry and taken hastily to their commander, the Lady Gisela Quinn. The man looks hesitant as he leaves the package for his commander. Fearful as he says calmly to the adjutant, "I don't know how it got here, but I turned around and it was there. I saw nothing. Everik and I looked for an hour, but couldn't find a bloody trace of who dropped it off. It was…. It was a Ghost I tell ya!" The look in the man's eye is of terror.

The Package is simple but heavy. Wrapped lovingly and with a simple black ribbon bow of silk. Unwrapped, the wrapping is also Silk. A Funeral Dress.
Inside is the severed head of Gisela's spy in Four Corners. The look of frozen horror kept remarkably well thanks to some form of alchemy given the smell of the head. Blood congeals on the bottom and leaks in a thick mass form the corner of the mouth and the eyes. Beside the head is a bottle of Red Wine. A good Vintage. Attached to the bottle is a note:

"My dearest Lady Quinn,

This man was looking where one should not put eyes. I wish, sincerely, that he suffered no pain, but I do have a reputation to uphold. I can assure you the man's screams where one the great author of our time, Demalion would call, a song to ignite the heavens. He told me ALL he knew in the end, as all men and women do when put in my tender mercies. I must confess, normally I drown those who pose a threat to the safety of my house and people, being a maritime power that I am, I find drowning quite … Liberating. However, it was most enjoyable to stretch my imagination with this particular peasant.

I sent you a new dress. One you can wear when I do manage to find and drown you. Also in this package is a wonderful bottle of Red Wine, from a House vineyard near the Frozen North. If chilled the liquid flows like blood, thick, and viscous and somehow becomes warm. Something in their brewing process that the house uses alchemy to perform. It is a favored drink of the al'Callenta, idiotic warriors that they are, they call it a Blood Wine for the reasons already discussed. Do enjoy it, I promise you it is not poisoned, I would rather you die in the field of battle or by my son's hand in a bucket of salt water, than to poison you. And as you know, I am a man who keeps my promises.

Do enjoy the war your Masters have thrust upon you.

Oh. And if I catch another spy looking into my business that confesses to be your servant, the next head will be your Lover's. Wouldn't be much of a loss. Courtesans are a copper a dozen.

Much Respect and Well Wishes

Viscount Adriono d'Armaz"
