The Akranin Manse in Four Corners was on lockdown; Evae’s orders. Nobody left or nobody entered unless she gave permission for them to do so. Yet, when the young heiress was informed that one of Shirlyn’s guards was at the door to speak with her, the man was promptly ordered in and shown to the sitting room where the Evae resided.

As “Right” entered Evae slowly rose from her chair to meet him, crossing the floor to the doorway of the sitting room and greeting him with her trademark dulcet tone, “Good evening Sir. I trust you have come alone? I do not /hear/ your Lady.”

The guard nodded and handed Evae a small piece of folded parchment, “I am to return your reply.”

Evae took the parchment and opened it, reading it and folding it once more, “Thank you…do you even have a name?” Her look was quizzical.
The guard did not offer an answer, but shifted his stance.

Evae made her way to the sitting room desk and as she often did, pulled another piece of parchment down onto the surface, reaching for the quill and began to write, her handwriting somewhat of a scribble.

Baron Chandus:

It has come to my attention that you are able to contact one Julian Venantius and that he has close to 1500 well-trained men available for hire. Consider this letter a request for such forces, and inform him that all correspondence shall be sent to Murias where I will be residing.

May the One watch over you,

Lady Evae Arkanin

Heir to the Duchy of Wayston

She rolled the parchment and placed the Arkanin wax seal upon it, rising from her chair and walking back over to the guard who awaited it, “Give this to your Lady, but inform her it is for Baron Chandus. From what I read she knows where to find him.
The guard bowed once and exited with the message in hand. Evae walked back to the sitting room chair and lowered herself into it, reached for her tea and sipped it slowly “Underestimate me you arrogant ass.”
