Lord Father,

You most likely did not expect another letter from me this soon, and to be honest, I did not expect to write you another this soon, especially on the subject I am about to touch on. You know that I've always understood that any match made for me would be to benefit this House, no matter what the choice was going to be. I had also thought that any matches and decisions would be made by you. There has been a recent… development in the North.

Working closely and fighting at the side of my Commander, Lady Sir Nadine d'Cadri, it appears that something was created between us. Mostly built from mutual respect, admiration, and also attraction. I have, of course, attempted to use discretion but it is a war camp though it has not caused any issues between my men and her's. This did draw her father's attention and the Viscount did speak to me. In the end, it appears that he will be writing you a letter, to possibly discuss a match between his daughter and myself.

I know that any decisions on my matches will be made by you and I would never object to any of your decisions, nor am I privy to any of your plans for me and I would not wan to be. I have enough to focus on, as you have written in the previous letter. I just wanted to let you know about this development, so it does not come as a complete surprise, Father.

Your Loyal and Loving Son,
Elrick
