If it had not been for the mention of luck in the events and speaking of her gift, Henric might have wondered if Katrina had remembered him… He had after all, been one of her better clients in the years past. She had all but vanished… but that wasn't what was important as he shook his head for such a thought.

The letter could only be from Kira, even if she signed it curiously as K. He considered Kaicee, but, that girl had written him off with her last letter. So, the way Kira signed the letter was intriguing.

Did she not want the letter to fall into wrong hands? Would she be embarrassed if she had been caught writing him a letter?

He could only wonder as he sat back and read the brief letter, a couple times over, prior to moving to his writing desk, finding parchment, quill and paper.

K

I must admit I have fallen out of news with what happens in the noble circles outside of House Tarris.

Though it might please you to know my brother won the Championship, as he performed well in the Joust, his strongest event. My own performance in the joust was as it always is, terrible. I did manage to stay in the saddle for Viscount Reine to batter me well and earn some proper bruises. The melee, my best event, I was the third last man standing, as the Sokar's decided to press me after my cousin Bess had already done well to score against me. The Bloodaxe won the event. I thank you regardless for your favour.

There has been news to mobilize our forces. I shant know how long it will take us in this campaign, as the reports appear to suggest a prolonged struggle.

Should I not be able to attend the wedding or the party that I have long planned for Letholdus, please give him my best wishes.

I hope all is well and that your chosen path is what you wished it to be.

Keep well.

Henry.

He seals it and turns to find a proper delivery for it in Alasce.
