My Queen,

I am unsure as to what rumors may have left Kentaire after the unfortunate events which took place here during the tournament. Prince Mikel Viscarin has been kind enough to offer Lady Alina al'Sylenthar and I time to rest and recover after we both took grave wounds.

I will be quite blunt. If it were not for the efforts of Lady Claire Tarris and the healers provided by Prince Mikel, I believe I would be dead. Lady Lianna Sokar and Lady Myrana d'Armaz also have my deepest thanks as well for their efforts.

I will not bother you with all of the details, but one of Robar's men stabbed me in the chest. I was a fool to run into combat against Robar, overeager to try and catch his last breaths and perhaps pry a secret or two out of him. Things did not go as hoped. He insulted your good name in a way that I found quite offensive, I then endeavoured to cut out his eyes and shove them down his throat.

In any case, I have been in a bad way these past few days. My cousin and his betrothed have earned my eternal gratitude for what they have already done, but I am afraid I need to ask them for one more favor.

There is a pattern. Four Corners. Kentaire. Both cities attacked after and during their tournaments. Alasce is next. I know how this might sound, as you are aware of my feelings towards Alina al'Sylenthar, but I believe it is important for me to get to Alasce. If I can make a difference, no… if Letholdus or I can make a difference, than it is vital we try and do so.

We cannot afford to allow these people to keep ahead of us.

Your loving cousin,

- Tristan
