Havelock's Cell at the Reliant's Monastery in Rikton.
The monastic cells of the Reliant holdfast line the corridors of the holdfast, large enough to fit a simple cot and a footlocker, they are often simply adorned with little more than a cross of the One Faith and welcome not only the Reliants but many pilgrims who come to Rikton also. Deeper within the quarters of the Reliants, a well provides access to their own water supply for drinking, cooking and washing.

The world remained topsey-turvey with the blood moon in the sky and the sun no where to be seen. The mysterious barrier that had settled around the city yet remained, there was no getting in, nor getting out. Order was slowly being returned….Slowly. While her own injuries were yet healing, Viola had been requested up to the Cathedral proper to aid with the injuries that had come from the fire in that initial aftermath there. When she had returned it had been with another shiny, and she had been perhaps a touch quieter. Likely not a thing to cause much pause or concern given all that was befalling Rikton. But now she sought out her friend and fellow Reliant. A light rapping sounding upon the door to his relaxing and comfortable cell (cause they were all comfy!),"Sir Havelock, might I have a moment?"

Knelt praying to the simple cross of Rikton pinned to the wall, Havelock is lost within a world of his own. Praying for himself, his friends, his fellow Reliants and everyone and anyone during this terrible time. Prayer and repentance and more prayer. Between bouts of polishing armour and checking on those who required his medical services. The knock upon the door is a welcome break from the bouts of prayer that do little to turn the moon back to its previous un-bloody colour, "By all means Mother Viola." His words ringing out as he rises, clad in his full plate given the terrible times beyond the safety of the fortress like monastery. Rising and moving to open the door to allow Viola within, "Do come in, you my friend can have as many moments as you wish." A smile, perhaps a touch haggard from a lack of sleep is offered and weary eyes regard his dear friend.

The priestess wore her usual robes, and her leather jerkin over top. With the tenderness yet to that healing wound, she only took to her maile when leaving the monastary. But given the bloody moon, and times, being completely unprepared did not seem wise. Viola offers a warm smile with ease when the door is opened and she invited within,"Thank you, I shall not take to much time, as you do look like you could use some rest, my friend." Adding,"I suppose we all could." Prayer and healing had take most of their time. "When I was up at the Cathedral, I ended up having a rather….interesting conversation concerning the attack upon us that first night the sky turned. And the creature that was attacking Lord Yves."

"I recall hearing it say something, it hissed did it not?" Havelock replies as he gestures towards a plain wooden chair, while he moves to settle upon the edge of his cot, "Though I was focused elsewhere, as were we all and as to rest, it should be I chiding you for being up and about, although I know few as strong as yourself." A warm smile graces that weary face as the Reliant sits up straight, rubs briefly at his features as if to instill some measure of life within them, before looking back, features a trifle flushed, to Viola, "Creature? It wasn't natural was it?"

"I believe it did, but as with you my attention was not fully upon it." Viola moving to take the offered seat, a hand smoothing out those robes as she sits. A smile comes, "I suspected you might wish to chide me, but as I was bidden by Archbishop Sirrah to work, I could not quite deny the…request." She shakes her head, "No, it was not natural. No more than that thing you spoke of fighting up north. And from what the Archbishop spoke, it is not the only of it's ilk within the city. A thing she called a vampire." The word spoke and allowed to settle in for a moment. "It does seem legends, well nightmares really…are quite real. But it sounds like you have seen that already. " Nightmares come to life that is. "Which comes to the reason she asked for me, for it seems there is a group just as secret who seeks to fight these evils, the Vigiliant. Of which Lord Yves is a part of and why he was attacked."

"I had rather hoped that perhaps we were mistaken… to witness what we did up north, only to find an entirely different evil here within Rikton itself." Havelock shakes his head slowly, the words tumbling past his lips as he ponders the dire consequences, "A vampire?" A pause given as he looks to Viola, "Least it is you informing me, I doubt I could believe anyone else as easily and Archbishop Sirrah herself? Who am I to argue. I had hoped that what I had seen in the north was a one off, just one of those things you never quite grasp, that in time you begin to disbelieve." Again the Reliant paused, one hand moving to check a buckle upon his armour, an act of comfort and reassurance before his gaze swept back to the battle-priestess before him, "The creature did seem to want to kill him… it was quite determined, as were they all, I am thankful we had the sailors with us."

"As I rather had hoped I would awake to find this," Viola waving a hand to indicate the unnatural moon and sky, and all else that had come with it,"but some horrible nightmare had. But I fear that is not to be, especially as more days come to pass." Viola nods,"Yes, a vampire." It is a word she says a bit carefully. It is no longer a creature simply out of lore. "It still seems a difficult thing to believe to be honest. But with all that has passed here in our beloved city, unbelievable things seem to be a reality. It has taken some time for me to fully register all that was told to me by the Archbishop, if it has truly registered." Another nod is given, Viola's hand briefly drifting to touch his arm. A bit of comfort offered with the simple touch. "From what I was told, others of this Order were also attacked by these…vampires…as the sky was changing. Making it seem a planned and coordinated attack upon them, likewise, it sounds as some of their lesser members..Brethren she called them, were generally amongst those who found themselves falling from the sky."

Havelock places his own hand atop Viola's as he offers a nod and the words sink in slowly, the very prospect of all that is said undeniable given the battle they fought and the blood moon itself, "An attack against the Vigilant? I shall pray for those who fell. But not only them, it is as much an attack against Rikton itself and those unfortunate enough to be here." The Reliant's face hardens slightly, an attack upon the Holiest of cities clearly a prospect that he never thought he'd witness. But with a deep breath, Havelock bows his head briefly and takes but a few moments to clear his thoughts. A deep breath followed by another and another before finally he looks up once more, "Our city crawling with these fiends? That can't be allowed. Not now, not ever. We are fortunate we made it here, safer than most I would wager, which gives us some freedom to rally ourselves against this threat."

Viola nods. Time is easily given for him to take in her words and consider them. Allow them to sink in as he needs. "Yes, an attack against the Vigilant. And I agree, an attack upon the whole of Rikton. I think the Vigilant targeted because they would likely hold the most knowledge in understanding what is possibly happening and how to fight against it. A tactical strike." Even if the supernatural edge to it all is knew, Viola had spent many a year upon battlefields, and while now commander, she had learned a thing or three in that time. "I am not sure if it is quite crawling. But close enough. We are fortunate to have made it and to have the sailors with us. The One was watching over us. " Viola draws a breathe in before she speaks in. "The purpose though in explaining how the attacks unfolded, and for the Archbishop requesting my presence, was a wish to recruit me to aid this Vigilant, to become a part of it. And she had wish for me to speak to you about becoming one of them as well. To do as we do in fighting evil and serving the One."

Havelock spends but a few moments just taking in those words, though there is little he can do but nod and nod firmly he does, "There is simply no other answer than yes, I shall serve as the One requests of me and clearly this Vigilant is all that stands between all that is holy and good and whatever damned realm these evil creatures would have us dwell within." A deep breath is taken, a twinge as he no doubt recalls the ease with which the demon he stood against pierced his armour with its claws, yet still he nods, determinedly so, "Together we stand, I have no desire to fight these creatures alone nor let you stand against them without a familiar face at your back… together we'll strike them down, by all means report to the Archbishop that I am a willing servant of the One and of this troubled Order, we must do all that we can… horrific as such news is."

Viola manages a faint smile when that answer comes. The answer she knew would. "As I too answered. I could not deny the wishes of the One. If this is what he needs of me, then it will be how I serve Him. " Her hand gives a light squeeze. It was a weighty calling to answer. And he had faced more of this evil then she. "I shall make her aware that you have agreed to join this fight. " A smile comes, "And there is no other I could think to have with me in this fight again evil and in serving the One, Havelock. You have true courage and heart." A slightly bemused edge comes to her smile, "It would seem there is some….privilege to this service, for there is a room with more weapons of lightsilver then you could think possible, all of which are at our disposable." All the shinies!

Shinies. Oh glorious weapons. Shiny weapons. Havelock smiles at Viola's words and the squeeze of her hand, the knight reassured and certainly not intending to leave a friend to stand against this evil, "I shall be at your side till we're both old and grey, it is a fight we must fight. There is no denying that… there is simply no other answer after what we saw on our way here and you speak of courage." The Reliant's hand returns the squeeze, lifting Viola's hand within his to shake it towards the ceiling and the heavens itself twice as he speaks, "I stand beside the bravest Priestess I have ever been blessed to stand beside, there is none I would rather stand with against such a threat." The smile broadens considerably, "I think we have a lot to learn and a short space of time in which to learn it and I think a visit to this armoury might be quite necessary." One can't have too many shiny weapons, blessed as Havelock is in that regard, "I shall ensure that my stocks of healing supplies are at decent levels and given your meetings with the Archbishop and now me, I am pleased at your recovery."

Oh all the shines. The pretties. To horde away and sleep upon…like a dragon's cache! "With luck, the One shall allow us to grow so old together, my friend." That or die together fighting against evil. "You speak true, I do not see we could make any other choice but to fight, and continue to claim to serve the One. Our words would be false for it, if we did not fight against this evil that wishes our world." Viola smiling a bit as he raises her hand with his to the heavens and speaks such words. "And there is no other knight I would rather have standing with me in this fight against evil. " Viola nods, "I believe you are right, there is a lot to learn and little time to learn it. There is the armory and I believe a library to which we will now be granted access. And you should be pleased, without you, I would perhaps not have survived the attack to recover. And it is by your tending I have healed so well."

Perhaps a sharp and pointy pile of shinies, but one that nevertheless must be curled upon! "I have had somewhat more stubborn patients to tend to." And it is with a grin that Havelock replies, a laugh escaping for what seems to be the first time since the whole matter erupted and sent many plummeting and creatures a crawling. Though short-lived, the laugh was at least warm and merry enough, "Though Lord Yves seems a rather practical man, no doubt from his vocation… we shall bring heart as you say." As to not surviving Havelock shakes his head, his gaze fixed upon Viola's own, "There is no without me, nor is there a without you and though my knife ended that fiend, your ferocity would have saved me had the tables been turned I am sure. This is quite something… unbelievable were it not you saying these words, even after what we saw."

Viola grins and winks, "It is good to know I am not the most stubborn patient you've had to deal with." Healers were always problematic patients. To hear him laugh brings a greater smile with more warmth. There had not been much laughing in recent days. "He does seem a practical sort. Though as you say…not much heart or warmth to him rightly. " Viola's gaze stays with him as he speaks. "It is true…I would have seen his end, had the tables been turned. It..is quite something." A light smile coming, "It is still a matter settling in for me, and I should give you time to take in what we have spoken. And I should see that the Archbishop is informed." The smile takes on a knowing turn, "And we should both also see about a bit of rest."

"That we should, a couple of hours rest at least should see us right… knock a few cobwebs from our heads and allow a few wounds to knit a little further." Havelock states as he glances back towards the comfortable though simple cot that the Reliant's cells are blessed with. Not like those fancy noble templars in the barracks opposite. "I shall let you get on with your duties and I am truly thankful I face this with you, I would rather such things didn't exist and to even get my head about them still takes effort even after the north, but yes… together, they'll regret this. Each and every one of them." Pushing himself to his feet, Havelock finally relinquishes Viola's hand and tugs open the door, "I shall see you soon."

"A few hours should be plenty to set us right." Not quite the fancy templar barracks. But the cots…such luxury after time on the road. And the soap! Viola nods, "I shall send word and get some rest. And later we can make way for rounds up to the Cathedral and I can show you what was shown to me. It is a great deal to wrap the mind around. But the Darkness and Evil shall regret their missteps." Rising to her feet as well, and moving towards the door, "I shall see you soon, rest well and the One's Blessing upon you, Havelock."
