Notoriety
House D'Lacroix is most famous for the means it came about. Taking the lands and vassals of House D'Myrin after their downfall, D'Lacroix is basically built on the bones of the dead. This may cause other nobles to think twice about dealing with them, or treat members as lesser, given their newly ennobled status. Needless to say House D'Lacroix is built on bones and motared by blood. It's only fitting that their heraldric device is a crow. Oft known to take advantage of scavenging.
Religion
House D' Lacroix are fervent followers of the One Faith. In fact they boast of having a rather wonderful chapel, which was repaired first after the razing of the D'Myrins.
Nobles
The noble family was small, consisting of Killian D'Lacroix and whatever scattered family he had. In House al'Morena, the D'Lacroix hold some standing, given that they were newly ennobled. As such other nobles might scorn or look down on the new D'Lacroix, outside of those within al'Morena lands, in which this would not considered odd.
Inheritance was merit based, and was likely to be passed to another under Killian, as picked by him, or the al'Morena. However, he had no heirs and had picked no one to succeed him. The fief is thusly unclaimed.
Commoners
Most of the Commoners here consist of farmers focused on sheep and some wooly aurochs (more Hillish cows) and a vast majority of Hunters, and Woodsmen. Also, many of the commoners have ties to the Wolf Company and thus many off duty or retired Mercenaries can be found here amongst the populace
Ravenswood
The majority of the Ravenswood lies within the holding of House D'Lacroix. There are a few hills, which can serve great for pastures as well, but the majority of the land is heavily wooded, and it is where many men and women here find their trade. House D'Lacroix is able to boast of a booming timber trade, and careful Forestry practices.
Caer Darrow
Caer Darrow, is the name of the former holding of the D'Myrins. The majority of it was in disrepair when the razing of the D'Myrins occurred. This was done by the Wraiths, who sacked the castle and put all members of the D'Myrin family to the sword. As such, repairs have been forth coming. It is not stellar as it once was, but it is slightly defensible with the right commander in charge.
Vassals
House D'Lacroix is a direct vassal under house al'Morena. As such they enjoy a few knightly Houses and one masterly house under them. But nothing substantial.
House D'Lacroix's military prowress relies on their adopted tactics of Irregular infantry and tactics. They are specially gifted in serving as mounted infantry (Outriders and dragoons) where the infantry can ride to a location, dismount and take on the enemy. As such, they are best used in lighting raids, or on the ground in larger engagements. They can also serve as Light Auxiliary horse in a pinch if needed, giving them a unique skillset.
The house also boasts of a strong levy, given that many retired Mercenaries live in the area and are more than happy to serve if called upon.
House D'Lacroix is just now into the moderate state of wealth. Though once a small and well off House, D'Lacroix's wealth has been split between paying taxes to their Lord's and repairing the ruin wrought upon their lands by the fall of House D'Myrin.
Trade
House D'Lacroix specializes in Timber, Hides, and wool.
Reputation
House d'Lacroix's reputation amongst the Northern houses is still being fleshed out, given their relatively new appearance in Court. Amongst their lieges they are regarded as loyal, and looking to prove themselves.
Rumors
It is thought, that the sellsword was responsible for House d'Myrin's downfall, when in fact Killian's only involvement was in the cleanup following the razing of the d'Myrins.
