Sebastian Bordeaux was born to Victor and Malina Bordeaux in the city of Barjols. Viktor, who was a younger brother of Simon, had been gifted the city of Oullins to manage as a Knight of the Household for his unfailing loyalty to the House and his family. As such, he continued this tradition and taught all of the children of his own marriage to be loyal knights to the House of Bordeaux. To his eldest, he began these lessons, first taking Sebastian on as a page and eventually as a squire.
Sebastian learned the usual of a firstborn of his father's line. While learning to be a knight, he learned Stewardship, Heraldry, Arithmetic right alongside riding, tilting, and swordplay. By the time he turned 18, he was more than a match for most of the Knights in the lands of House Bordeaux, and enough devotion to the family to be trusted with more and more tasks.
After he was Knighted, he was dispatched, along with his father, to handle bandits in the area. Likely deserters from neighboring Principality was the thought. When they arrived, his father ordered the peasant levies he had brought with him into the fray first. "To thin the enemy and tire them." Sebastian balked, and eventually charged into the battle against his father's orders. The rest of the cavalry with them took the young Knight's charge as the order to do as well, and after the initial crash and light fighting the enemy was routed.
Victor Bordeaux went into a fury. Angry at his son for disobeying orders. Sebastian returned the fury, angry at his father for wasting lives. He packed a saddlebag mid argument and left for Rikton proper. There he was approached by a Templar Sergeant who had heard of his deed, and after a brief conversation, and realizing it would further anger his father, joined the Order.
For Sebastian the order was about getting back at his father at first. However after one tour at Fortress Benide and enduring the long siege by the Icenalians he felt a longing to return home. Once his duties were finished there he took his retinue through the family lands and stopped in Barjols there to see his family once again.
In his time since departing his brothers had grown, both had followed his path into Knighthood, serving first as a page and then squire to their father. His mother had missed him and welcomed him with open arms. His father gave a stern look, then knelt to the son and begged forgiveness. He had been a fool, and it had taken the perceived loss of a son to see it. The two embraced and all was well. It was during this time that he was married to a girl of similar noble birth, his Caterina, or Cat as he called her. The two began hating each other, but whatever happened while they were on honeymoon they came back the truest of loves. So much so that they have four children, with talk of more.
Until 1865 when war broke out between the Reliants and the Templars and the War of the West began. Sebastian found himself in an odd place. His family were traditionally Reliant, and were now branded as Heretics. While he himself was duty bound to take the lands for his church. So he did the only thing he could.
He fought his brothers. With wooden sticks. But they made it look really good.
"Driven" from his home he swore to return in peace and left to join the Order and the War. He served in many battles in the Fallow Lands, most notably Goldhollow as one of the Knights in the final charge of the battle. The charge was glorious. The ice shards from nowhere? A nightmare. He lost many friends, and when Rollo Tusca challenged for the Lord Captain Commander position he stood silently with his brothers and sisters and watched. When neutrality was declared he went home again. This time, he vowed not to leave unless Rikton itself was threatened.
He would spend the remainder of the war defending the lands of House Bordeaux from Banditry and assisting his father in running the lands. Until in 1873 his father died of a wasting illness, and his mother, unable to shoulder the burden of her true love's passing went to sleep, never to awaken. That next morning he was named Lord of Oullins.
For the last two years, Sebastian has worked on maintaining the city, and the peace in the countryside. He is known as a fair and true Knight and the only Templar in House Bordeaux. His cousins know they need only to call for him and he will arrive, blade in hand, and ready to defend the house, and the newly formed Kingdom with his life's blood.
