Cunning: Symon is patient and clever, to the point that he has managed to largely hide the extent of it from his parents altogether. He is very, very good at playing the long game.

Schemer: Symon is very politically adept, and easily sees and navigates the currents and eddies of court life. He's definitely picked up a good bit from his mother, and even expanded upon it without her realizing it.

Skilled Negotiator: Symon has a knack for persuasion and negotiation, which makes him a formidable fellow to have to bargain with, whether for mercantile or political alliance. He often comes out ahead in such contests.

Deceptive: Symon is quite skilled at hiding his emotions and intentions from others. He's been practicing with his parents for the better part of his life, after all.

Perceptive: While Symon is skilled at hiding his own emotions and intentions, he's equally skilled at determining those of others, even when they try to conceal them.

Archduchess Anca Arkanin : My mother. I love her and respect her, but I cannot fathom how someone so intelligent can be so blind at times. Ah well…for now I must support her and be patient. At least she's kept the house relatively strong.

Duke Xavier Arkanin : You are a great warrior. You are a shit father. I can see why mother chose you for her breeding stud, but I can't possibly imagine why she's kept you around this long. I'll shed no tears when you meet your end.

Lord Bryad Arkanin : Be glad you got out when you could, Little Brother. My faith may not run so deeply as yours, but I hope it brings you peace and contentment in the arms of the Church.

Lady Evae Arkanin : She is our mother's daughter, for good and for ill. I love her, but I do not think she will agree with the path our House will follow when I am Duke.

Lady Jaelynn Arkanin : My youngest sister, and like everyone else save our father, I've doted upon her. I just hope it hasn't been too much doting, because the world can be a cruel place, and Jaelynn is not. Still, while I do fear for her safety at times, I am glad to see that she has chosen to be part of the world rather than hold herself forever separate, and having that courage and certain degree of stubbornness gives me hope for her.

Lord (Sir) Paul Arkanin : There have been days when I've sorely wondered how different my life would be if Paul was my father. I suppose I can't complain, the lessons I've learned have been useful if often painful, but I can't help but look upon Paul's children with a tinge of envy. Paul is a good and honorable man and a more than competent vassal. I wish there were more like him in Wayston, for he has a certain degree of open-mindedness that is rare among our folk. He would, I think, ultimately agree with what I envision for House Arkanin. He may be a valuable ally if he still lives when I ascend to my birthright.
