Saida was the youngest daughter born, of the Hogan family and it was with her birth that her mother died. If that was not enough, Saida was born as a small person. This difficulty followed her through her life and not only was she resented by her father for having killed her mother on her way into this world she was never going to be taller then 4'3". Saida had an older brother Maric (NPC) and sister whom she grew up with. Lyda was her senior by seven years, and the small stature of Siada did not hold her back from wanting to be just like her sister.
Without a mother to raise her, Lyda became the mother she needed. Watching over her small sister whilst perusing her own passions. It was no surprise when Lyda was accepted into the Huntresses, to any of the family. The Hogan family had been vassals to the Romanantes and Cassomir familys. The family's ennoblement happened after the Succession war, the same time as Volstak. Over two years ago, when her Father was one of the three survivors of the small troop that secured the Queen's escape at Giorgio'S Retreat.
As a child she enjoyed singing and training of the hunting dogs. She would climb everything from the moment she could walk. As she was so small, her Father was misguided about her ability's so he expected she learn to cook. She often would make the family meals while singing songs. There was something special about her songs, an uplifting quality to them, it was almost enough to make one forget she was born as she was.
Saida had to work hard to over come her stature, and she started training shortly after her twelve birthday. When she was not training the dogs or cooking, she would go and train with her sister, learning techniques of tracking, hunting and survival skills. Lyda was kind and pushed hard, expecting that her sister learn despite her size. Her training was sometimes relentless but it was because of it that Siada herself found her way to the Huntresses as well.
She was newly accepted when the fall of Emila happened, and still Siada went through a mourning process. The Marriage to Elaine offered her the right to take over the Huntresses. Siada was unsure of this, this woman knew about as much as she did herself about the organization. Hard to follow someone who was just learning, still - she looks to her sister and stays close to the one she knows. Her loyalty to her family and to her cause burns within her.
