"I am Fire…"
Henric Cassomir is the fifth son and sixth child out of seven from Baron Aric Cassomir. Henric has been struggling to discover his worth in the world for a long time. Recently, after the summer romance with Alessandra in 1865, he has changed his outlook on life… no, in fact, the romance with Alessanda has changed his life.
Despite this, he has an ability to press people into action and make quick decisions during combat has started garnering some attention, leading cavalry and men successfully through various missions. Henry became the Tournament Champion at Nylan Fortress and the melee Championship at the Darnis Fortress Tournament, picking up the Senatorial Championship in 1865. He was named commander of a regimental unit of Tarris heavy cavalry in Oct 1865.
He's been removed from the Royal Lancers, a dream ending consequence. In response, Duke Gauvain Tarris sent him a missive, offering him a commission over a regiment of heavy cavalry. Wisely and without a better option to supersede it, Henry went to Griffon Point to exchange House Romante and House Cassomir colours for … House Tarris, and while he appreciates the opportunity, he knew it was just temporary.
Late March 1866, Henric's command over the Tarris regiment comes to an end. He's ordered by the Queen and his brother, to muster forces in Metalmire (a place held by a stewardship as no Lordship has been titled yet), take command of them, and to prepare for a proactive strike against Thorn forces. He is also betrothed to Lord Volstak's daughter, Lady Elaine.
May 30th to June 1, 1886 … Everything Changes…
Character
Ere now I ride, to death’s side
A thousand fears before me
And in true glory I see
The weight of my calling is more than gold.
- Henric Cassomir
Rigidity is near permanent on Henric Cassomir's face, an indifferent stoical set to his expression. The green grey set of his eyes gives him a countenance of looking right through a person, exhibiting an edge of intensity to them. Kept close to his head, the young lord has a battle hardened hair style, a crew cut that keeps hair no longer than an inch, longer on the crown of his head and tapering shorter on the sides. Tufted brows bearing a wide contour help define the aforementioned eyes, which preside over a slight crooked nose and fair mouth that's given to quick expression. Scruffy whiskers dominate his rounded jaw line, forming a 5 o’clock shadow from side burn to side burn. The whiskers are also found to give him a soft moustache over his upper lip.
He is otherwise a tall young man, sitting at six feet. His stature is characteristic to a man who has spent his young life on the battlefield - lean of waist, his shoulders are broad and his legs are powerful but slim. His skin displays the legacy of his life in combat, for there are several major places that have been deeply scarred, such as his left shoulder when exposed, it is ghastly to look upon. Otherwise, various lashes dot his arms, neck, and chest, and scars can be found around the edge of his hairline.
His attire depends on the day and the need. When he is required as a Knight, he'll be suited up with the appropriate armor and weapons, which can range from full armor to something light, and a range of sword types. Then there are other times he is just a noble, subjected to wearing tunics with gold trim, leathers and boots that rise to his knee. He does tend to stick with black or dark earthen colors, with the rare occasion for dusky oranges and deep reds. House sigils are not represented upon his attire, not that it was common practice in the circles of nobility to do as much.

Henric Forrest Cassomir was the fifth and last son from the Baron Aric Cassomir and his wife, Baroness Mathilda Cassomir. While Henric would earn the last syllable of his father's name, that's all he really ever got of the man. Through no fault of his own, Henric was just born in a time of strife and the war of thirty years, thus his father and his eldest brothers were to remain a distant part of his childhood.
It was his mother that he gravitated towards, breaking the traditional reputation of a Cassomir early on with his soft hearted aloof ways. Henric took to his mother's skirts as there was no other influence to keep him from her side. She didn't mind it. They kept each other company. The household staff saw this and started to say he was a very needy child and murmured about a man having too many son's, that he'd eventually get stuck with a weak one.
Despite this, his father and brothers when around, didn't completely ignore him either. Yet, they wouldn't fully include him as much to justify his belonging - often saying he was "too young" or he could join when he got older. The time he did manage to spend with them seemed brief, too brief to really get to know them. The age gaps seemed to be a barrier his eldest brother's couldn't get beyond. As a boy he felt awestruck by the presence they carried, and started early in thinking he wouldn't ever measure up.
When his mother had Emilia, Henric was right in there helping her. He was actively involved in Emilia's life after that point. Henric had a way with Emilia which is mother recognized. When she was being overly fussy and would not stop crying for anyone, all he had to do was hold her and she would give over to quietness. Often, because of this connection, he was able to spend a great amount of time with his mother and baby sister.
Henric had some trouble with his page duties in the household. It was often due to his commitment level and his idea that other things, such as spending time with Emilia had much more benefit to him. It forced his mother to start overseeing his studies, as his tutors weren't pleased by his efforts. She realized after some time that she merely had to acknowledge his effort and he would engage himself. The down side, when she didn't or couldn't, Henric would skip out and fall into his old habits. But again, as the fifth son, it didn't really prompt much attention.
Then of course, the boy was charming; he could keep his teachers laughing and smiling in wonderment at his jovial nature when he really should've been getting the strap. Sure a few lies would slip out, but lies made such grand tales and they prevented punishment, so they were harmless!
Overall, he was happy with his mom's attention (eventually Emilia's). She would encourage him when he did well in sparring or on a test. While he settled into an easy going personality laced with white lies and humour, he would also earn the reputation of being lazy and insolent.
His father got wind of such murmurings and asked Jaren to take Henric on as a squire - to instill some sense of honour and family loyalty into the youngest Cassomir son. Henric was already fourteen at that point, a little late for a few habits to be changed, though Jaren would try, surely, as older brothers are wrought to do. Jaren agreed to take him on, naturally.
Despite the chance to go off into the world with his older brother, Henric delayed his departure as much as he could and on the day of leaving, held fast to hugging his mother and his baby sister. He promised his sister to always write her and that she better not grow up too fast. There were tears of departing between them, while his father and brother stood on with an obvious show of disapproval for the softness in Henric.
Henric honestly did try to become another person while squired under Jaren. He was keenly aware of his inferiority to his elder brother and would do his best to prove to Jaren that he could be proficient too, where it mattered. He bumbled around quite a bit early on, simply for his lack of effort and drive. He was quite frustrating to handle in those first years departed from his mother and baby sister.
When he was older he would eventually catch on to the routines and skills needed from a squire. Painful lessons were learned, as he took up the martial skills his brother could show him. Often, Jaren would remark on Henric's efforts, for there were times that Henric would just come alive with a weapon in his hands and other times that he wouldn't even be able to defend himself. He was as fickle as the winds and as frustrating as ever, for Jaren saw the natural talent in him but couldn't convince Henric to keep with it.
More often than not in those long years of being a squire, Henric was consciously slipping away from his brother's side for a game of cards, a roll in the hay with whoever he could get, or long hours of drink. His romping grounds were normally the seedier taverns, and there he would introduce himself as Forrest and forget his identity, while lying through his teeth to make his life sound more important than it was and getting the attention he craved. There, amongst the common folk, he was not called "Jaren's little brother."
Being defined as 'Jaren's brother' became more pronounced after the assassination attempt on the Rose. Henric was there for the attempt, but hardly referenced for it. Still, in the moment of battle, he proved that Jaren's efforts hadn't gone to waste after all. Henric was amongst the fray and bloodied his sword against the invading ranks. Just as he was starting to get the hang of a real pitched battle, his brother called him off and ordered him to stand behind. Henric protested and said he could fight, but Jaren pulled rank and had Henric go with the Queen and stay out of the fighting. Henric took this as a grievous insult, as if his brother didn't trust him to fight. Little did he realize that his brother positioned him there to literally be the last line of defense if the assassins got passed Jaren. Henric hated every minute of having to watch his brother take down seven men, ashamed of standing there behind the press of glass and hidden away in a building while Jaren took injury. No doubt the scorn he would earn from his peers would chafe at him, for he allowed his knight to take wound. More so was the rub of the immediate fame that surrounded Jaren's victory. He would resent being asked about how 'bravely' his brother fought and would never speak about that day henceforth.
As his brother was laid up from his injuries, Henric was more often being referred to as "Jaren's brother" and it hit a nerve. He got into a brawl at a tavern with an older knight, for the man did not know his name but called him 'Jaren's kid brother' something that snapped the youth into some angry rage he couldn't escape from. Thankfully he was hauled out before things got out of hand, or he'd have some serious explaining to do. In his heart, this anger he knew stemmed from the frustration of being unable to escape the long shadow of his brothers. He would always be compared to them. Always.
Out of desperation to climb out of such a shadow, he asked to be reassigned while his brother was recovering. Granted the permissions, from his father and his brother, he squired under some unfamed knight, who would take Henric into the Battle of the Betrayer. It would be there in the Battle of the Betrayer that he would fully get to use his blade again in a heated battle and take down the enemy. Unremarkable, however, as it was to be.
The later missions to root out of pockets of 'Thorn Loyalists' would see him knighted. It wasn't anything dramatic, it was simply the way he fought and presented himself to the man he rode with that earned him the recommendation. A recommendation that perhaps Jaren wouldn't have so easily given or at least not yet. Truth be told, Henric wasn't ready for it, maturity wise.
His knighthood did not come with the celebrations and pride that Jaren's did - except from his mother and sister. People knew him as the kid brother who could be lazy and fickle. While family name carried some weight, he hadn't shown his true natural talents for the Royal Lancers selection process - the shadow interrupting his flow. Thus, he was not the first pick, nor the second, nor even the fifth or seventh when the selection process was being made. He almost didn't make the cut, yet he was the last candidate to be selected and positioned. By the odd numbers, he made it into the Royal Lancers by the skin of his teeth.
Overshadowed by his brother once again (as his brother made first choice), his peers compared him mercilessly against Jaren. Henric went out and got hammered that night to do away with his low self-esteem. He slept around and probably buggered a woman with his spawn somewhere in the game of it. He didn't care. He didn't promise anyone lifelong happiness or support after all. Amongst the commoners, he was Forrest and he had no family except for a sister and a mother back home, to whom he was working to support. He was free of the shadow of his brother. Free of his concerns. The only other comfort to him was his baby sister and mother, whom he'd make sure to use his free time to visit - lavishing them with gifts if he could come across the means to buy them.
But that damned shadow kept growing and smothering him. As Henric rode with a party of knights to root out further Thorn loyalists, a messenger came upon their position. It was a man from Ironhold, who looked relived to find Henric amongst the party. At that time, Henric had been assigned command to the group of low born hedge knights and soldiers with him. The messenger spilled out the details in front of all the men and Henric didn't even wait for them to come to some agreement on if they should return to the city and gather more forces. He turned to them and asked who was coming with him. The fire in his tone inspired the men and they road as fast as they could for as long as they could to get there. It wouldn't be fast enough.
Upon their arrival, it appeared too late. The battle almost over. Even so, electified by the hatred for seeing his home burnt to the ground and his concern for his family, he lifted his sword and led the charge into to the invaders corralled by his brother. Over several days of hard fighting, Henric and his men (with help of his older sister and the Huntresses) wiped out the invaders, while Jaren was missing (battling the banshee). He would earn some credit to his name for appearing the hero, but he shared the credit with his brother and older sister. It didn't feel like a victory.
In the aftermath, Henric could not be consoled - a piece of him had been stolen forever. He took his mother's death and his sister's traumatization personally. As it was, Jaren would become the Baron, a sting that would be followed with Jaren's title of the Queen's Champion at a tournament held that same year. It was more than he could face. He eventually left Ironhold and returned for whatever assignment he would receive next as a Royal Lancer. Emilia was the one real reason that he would continue to return.
This man’s personality is a combination of many factors, some which can be explained easily with words, while others are more complex and certainly break boundaries of definition. To sum him up rather simply, Henric wears his heart on his sleeve.
By being such a man, he exposes himself to the world with a weakness that Knights are supposed to conceal; that men who have an obligation to protect others are to keep unto themselves - their emotions. He cares too much about people and he speaks before he considers the consequences of what is said. He struggles with playing the Great Game and can be the easy pawn in a political gambit. This does make Henric vulnerable in many aspects, though some would say it strengthens a man's heart to be so passionate.
Henric was steadfast to his loyalty to the Crown, the Rose, and the Romante’s. Being stripped of his position means he will likely be questionable of character in this regards… and being dishonoured is a considerable price to pay. Duke Tarris wisely jumped on the opportunity to utilize the young man's skill, offering him a commission that could help the Cassomir redeem himself. As he'll be serving in a military fashion, he has cast off the colours of his own House and that of Romante, to shoulder a Tarris Tabard.
Quirks
Chargen/Justified:
- Natural Talent: Swordsmanship - He was taught by his brother Sir Jaren, it's hard not to be talented when you learn from the best. Jarret Sokar has called him a 'dodgy bastard' as Henric has mastered many defensive techniques, though he still manages to get hit in the head (go figure).
- Inferiority Complex - Just never good enough… Although Henric pushes himself, things seem to go wrong and he causes his own undoing… subconsciously or otherwise. He doesn't take compliments well as he believes people are just trying to be 'nice' to him… especially his family, since they know he measured himself up against Jaren for the longest time. He doesn't believe a compliment when he hears it, even if he's earned it. A strange thing! This trait has led him to some dark ends and while he tries to get beyond such a thing, this trait is engraved into his soul. Never good enough…
- Storyteller - It might be hard for him now to open up and tell tall tales and he's been caught lying once already… (It's too late for stories. Reality is a cruel mistress).
- Non-Committal - He struggles to commit to non military choices, especially when he isn't COMMANDED to do it. There is a difference. Becoming Viscount means he has to make decisions regarding many things outside of Military Command. Depending on the issue, he can commit on the spot or must be prodded to do so. And it's still unsure if he will follow through with most of what he decides to do.
Assumed:
- Duty Bound - He's a military man, there is little else to occupy him. He has no dreams of talent to pursue, his life will end on the battlefield.
- Strong Willed - Although he doesn't show it in the traditional sense, get him out into the field of battle and he's one of the strongest willed men out there. He might also have other ways this manifests as well. Despite his trials, for instance, he still gets out there and fights a battle… and when he was going to give up on life, he stopped himself just in time. This trait battles the inferiority complex often.
- Well-Equipped - He has full plate and a Tarris Charger and has won some pretty bad ass swords. He's well equipped for gear. Now that he wears Winterthorn, it can't get much better than that.
- Stoic - He can pull it off… SOMETIMES! Honest. There are LOGS that prove it, somewhere.
Developed thru RP:
- Wavering Faith - He's slipped far from the faith of the One and has recently gone back to the religious practices to see if it can help turn his life around. So far, the religious mantras are helping him get through each day, one day at a time.
- Leadership - Instincts have driven him to take command during intense situations where no other rises to the challenge. He does have a good head for military command and can lead a regiment decently.
- Distrustful of Women - It wasn't until recently that he's become wary of the opposite sex, the pains he's endured (self inflicted or not), has made him reluctant to trust them. Even his own sisters, keep things from him, by admission of Emilia herself.
- Odd Hobbies - He has a handful of odd hobbies in his pocket. Sometimes a few lucky ones might see him engaged in such.
- Kryptonite - Her name is Emilia Cassomir. He's proven he would give up anything to protect her - his station as a Lancer, for instance. He gets tunnel vision if Emilia is in danger and nothing will get in his way, no matter who it is. There's a switch and when it's pulled, nothing else matters. He is after all, her light in the darkness and her shield. (With Emilia dead, this no longer applies. The switch is pulled and it's hard for him to feel much but anger these days).
- Soul of Fire - He's got too much fire. He's can be very passionate and quick to temper. Anger is part of who he is.
- Full of Regret - He never got to mend fences with his brother, not fully, before Jaren was assassinated before his very eyes. Raelyn as well, murdered without a chance. He wasn't fast enough, wasn't smart enough to see the set up … to save them. Or anyone else in his family. His biggest regret is that he never told Jaren what he wanted to really say…
- Bent On Revenge - Revenge is what fuels him to carry on. Those who caused the second succession war shall pay and Victor Romante is on the top of the hit list. He will get his vengeance.
- Grieving // Ruled By Emotion - It's obvious to many he is ruled by emotion. Anger seems to be the most prominent emotion now, though such is part of the grieving process.

Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name | Shot through the heart and you're to blame, darling, you give love a bad name / An angel's smile is what you sell / chains of love got a hold on me / There's no where to run, no one can save me, the damage is done / A school boy's dream you act so shy, your very first was your first kiss goodbye / | |
Linkin Park - Numb | I'm tired of being what you want me to be, feeling so faithless lost under the surface, don't know what you're expecting of me, put under the pressure of walking in your shoes / Every step that I take is another mistake to you / I've become so numb / I'm becoming this all I want to do is be more like me and be less like you / Everything that you thought that I would be has fallen apart right in front of you / I know I may end up failing too | |
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris | And I'd give up forever to touch you, cause I know that you feel me somehow, you're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be, and I don't want to go home right now. And all I can taste is this moment and all I can breathe is your life, cause sooner or later it's over, I just don't want to miss you tonight. And I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think they'd understand. When everything's made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am. | |
Three Doors Down - The Silence Remains | This world asks for so much, Despite what you give it's just never enough, Then you're left cold tired and alone, Searching for something that's already gone, You try not to be afraid, Bound down by all of these things that they say, And you feel like you're all by yourself, But I’ll be right here when there's nothing else, Lay down, Rest here in peace in my arms now, Knowing you're safe, From the storms and the rain, And from all of your pain, And I’ll be here when only the silence remains, Only the silence remains… (the whole song basically). |

Horses
War Horses
Keeper | Trigger |
---|---|
Henric's first horse that he broke and trained into a decent war horse. He obtained the grey not long after his acceptance into the Royal Lancers and has since taken the grey into numerous conflicts. Once a stallion, he was convinced it would be better tempered by gelding. The horse masters didn't lie. Since the gelding, this mount has been steady and sure footed, though cannon fire is still likely to spook the beast. Even so, Henric's come to name the horse Keeper. He's got a deep respect for the animal, for without a trusty stead, what is a Knight worth? | Henric was credited with Duke Tarris' survival during the White Hall raid in 1865. As reward, he was allowed to pick out a horse from the Duke's personal stock. Henric decided on this nag. A mare that he calls Trigger, to honour the fact that while he did cut down Ralstag, it was not without aid from a hand cannon shot. Someone pulled the trigger before he could swing the blade. Never mind the fact that this horse can prove to be of the best stock in the Kingdom and highly valuable. Trigger has since been a great horse, but has been sent to pasture to heal from wounds obtained in battle. |
Solaris | |
Solaris is of a heavy cavalry stock. Henric obtained the animal in 1866, during the siege of Goldhollow. The animal belonged to one of his men, Malcolm Serrell, who had lost his leg (and nearly his life) in battle. To spare the man from a cruel misfortune of poverty, Henric paid a handsome price for the animal. |
Common Horses
Mistake | Ambush |
---|---|
Mistake is an unknown mare that he obtained after the bridge ambush. He ran her pretty hard and put her into pasture at Firen to recover. She was named thus to remind him of his 'mistake' on the road. There could be some potential to her, thus he kept her. | Ambush is the other horse that he obtained from the bridge ambush - aptly named. He's a buckskin gelding and is also unknown for skills other than keeping a fast pace. Also nearly ruined on the run back, he's earned some time in the pasture. |
Bandit | |
Out of the five horses that he rounded up, after being attacked by horse thieves (oh the irony), he gave away one to Morgan for her aid…and sold three more, while keeping the last for himself. He named the stud Bandit, as a reminder to his folly. So far, this horse seems only capable of being a pack horse. Riding him in any other capacity will take a lot of time and patience. |
Weapons
Old Faithful | Messiah | Bastard Sword |
---|---|---|
Old Faithful, a pass me down blade of iron. It was really the only weapon that served Lord Cassomir from when he was young up until just the Tournament at Nylon Fortress in year 1865. It has no adornments and no fashion to it, and the pommel was replaced several times. It's a basic broadsword, though the blades have been kept sharp to ensure it would still stand up against other weapons on the field. The guard is so worn down that it appears two tone. While not the official family blade, he holds onto it because one of his brothers gave it to him. Unfortunately it's heavy for a broadsword and the blade not as well crafted as it could be. | Messiah is an ornate lightsilver broadsword. Visually it is appealing, due to the pommel, as it sports a finely crafted guard shaped as fanned eagle wings, while handle sports a fine jewel. The finely worked tapered blade is deft and can be held in one hand or one and a half hands. It's suitable for Henric due to the reach and weight and fighting style with a shield. This sword came into Henric's possession as a Tourney Championship grand prize at Nylan Fortress, in year 1865. It's cost is above average for a broadsword, as it is lightsilver. | Henric used some of his tournament money to purchase a bastard sword. It's plane and without ornate detail. It has yet to earn a name and it seems he simply wanted it to better prepare himself for weights of greater swords. |
Winterthorn |
---|
Winterthorn is the sidhe-steel blade wielded by the heads of House Cassomir. Gifted to Javier Cassomir by Travian Romante after Sir Daved's heroic stand, the blade has been wielded in countless battles since then, and always served its' wielder well. "Winterthorn" is a new name for the blade, though, as it is an ancient weapon, and it was redubbed when it was gifted to the Cassomir family to reflect Daved's battle against the raiders of White Hall. Its' original name, if any, has been lost to the mists of time long before it ever fell into the hands of the Romante family. Winterthorn is known to be a bit of an odd weapon. It is slightly longer than a traditional longsword but not quite so long as a true bastard sword, and the few scholars of such things that have seen the blade have suggested it may have been designed for use by a Sidhe or Bane Sidhe warrior. The weapon is almost as famous as the Cassomir family itself. Like most sidhe-steel weapons, it is perfectly balanced, never needs sharpening, and never tarnishes or rusts. |

Henric took the command over a looking for the responsible individuals who attacked a wagon and peasantry. Ambushed, the battle of the Broken Lance took place and afterwards, Henric ordered all weapons and armor to be stripped. As he gave the orders, the surplus was deferred to his judgement as to what to do with. They took it all to Murias and gave it over to the barracks (minus any from Sir Ryan Lione). Henric also took one of the functioning hand cannons from the ordeal. While he hangs onto it, he has to search for someone whose able to show him -how- to use the damn things. So for now, he's stashed it in storage until things get quieter and he can spend time learning the weapon. |
Functional Long Cannon |
---|
Henric's cavalry had taken upon itself to marshal against the line of long cannoner's in the battle of Goldhollow, taking the town. They successfully reduced the numbers of long cannoner's and once all was said and done, Henric requested to Duke Tarris if he could secure one of the Long Cannon's left in workable condition for his own study and training in the weapon. The Duke agreed and allowed Henric to select a workable Long Cannon. Jan 1866. |
Armor
Henric has various options for armor. He has a full plate suit of armor for heavy cavalry pursuits (or tourney uses), but he often prefers to mix it up with the lighter feel of a brigadine suite. The above image is typical of what he'll wear.

Juin 1865 - Many people are met for the first time. Intrigues and interests, loves and hates… it's so dramatic that Henric goes from being attacked by bandits on the road, to winning the Melee tournament and Nylon Fortress, to saving an Aequorian Princess… to being declared the Tournament Champion and then riding North with Viscount Letholdus. Anger, love, epic combats and battles, ballads in the taverns and lots of drinking… Never a dull day for the son of a Cassomir.

The prize he came away with are enough to fund himself a lifetime of wealth, should he sell the silverware!

He finds time to confess to the envy in his heart for his brother and the betrayal of being dishonest. He tries to returns to Four Corners finds it burning and abruptly in the thick of battle. He nearly loses his life in the process and upon his return to Ironhold, faces the consequences of his choices. The consequences being… disgrace and the stripping of his position as a Royal Lancer.
Oct 1865 - Stripped of his Royal Lancer cloak, an offer was quick to find him, but only the one. Duke Tarris offered him a commission. There was little hesitation and he went to report to Griffon Point, picking up a command of the 3rd Heavy Cavalry regiment. On the route there, another bandit (Grey Prince) group was viciously fought off. War councils and prisoner torture followed. He was part of a large counter attack on a group of Thorn followers and nearly died in the attempt, though has gained absolute respect for the men he fought alongside of - Wulfred, Thomas, and Varian. A Romante was kissed, a tournament was attended, a lovely masquerade Owl was enjoyed… and his brother's betrothal was broken. What a month…
Nov 1865 - Training with the Regiment, Hosted a Bachelor Party, escaped a drunken brawl… Fell to the lowest of lows and tried to end it all. Missed Letholdus' wedding, withdrew, then tried again to get up and move on… Found some more spiritual advice before riding along to Kirekwall and finding the village sacked. Then bandits!! Emilia almost dies!

Made it to Duval unscathed and escorted by Sokar forces, picked up Bethany and one quarter of Duval's cavalry, and proceeded to head to Griffon Point as it was sacked. Spent a good month there, escorting refugees elsewhere and doing what he could to restore order and morale. Meet with the Dowager Duchess and Viscount Paul Arkanin to escort the convoy back to GP. Paul gave Henric some insight about his father, Aric.
March 1866 - Was commanded to attend Tamlin Ford and suffered a defeat at the hands of the Thorns. Retreated and returned to Griffon Point. There upon, Viscount Daltre, who was now in charge since Duke Gauvain Tarris suffered severe injuries, ordered Henric back to Firen to act as envoy. The trip was to turn back to Duval were upon Bethany and the mustered troops from Duval were returned. Henric proceeded on ship to Firen. The 3rd Regiment was given over to Sir Franklin Verynn's command to return to Griffon Point. Henric was also betrothed on Marse 28th 1866 to Lady Elaine Volstak.
April 1866 - Mustering. Training. Organizing at Metalmire. Not much happens. Pretty quiet for once.

Standing Number: 37/50
Heraldry:
Keeping House colours as is traditional with the main line of the ruling house of Cassomir, Henric has adapted his heraldry appropriately when he was a squire. Aric Cassomir had approved of the division of the heraldry since Henric was not expected to inherit. The circle represents that he is indeed, the fifth son. The chain represents his steadfast loyalty to the house. The crossed blades was for his dedication to the militaristic pursuits of the family (at the time his knighthood and seeking to be a part of the Lancers). The House eagle of course, is the other prominent charge on his heraldry.
Military Strength:
10 Heavy Cavalry
15 Light Cavalry
25 Infantry
